We love families and see children as an important part of the life of the church. We want to make Sundays a great experience for children and young people, and provide a space where they can have fun, make friends and explore faith together.
Every Sunday from 10am we start each service all together as a whole church family, where we enjoy refreshments in our cafe area and meet others in the church. We then worship together as a whole church family from 10.30am until 11am after which the children and youth go to their various groups until the end of the service.
Whether you are part of our church or just visiting and have a child with special needs, please do get in touch with our pastors responsible for kids and youth to discuss how we can help them to feel at home and the best ways that we can include them in our activities.
We currently run groups for children aged 3-11 and youth aged 11 -18:
- Mini Grapes - Three+ to Four (Pre-school)
- CLUB:V - Primary (Reception to Yr 6)
- Central Youth - For youth aged 11-18
GOD'S BIG STORY
Running through all our age groups is God's Big Story, the framework we use to teach the bible in a relevant way for all our children as we seek to equip them in their everyday lives.
Each week you can sign in your children using the automated check-in system in the lobby. This will print a sticker to go on his or her back, which includes emergency detials. We will also give you a sticker to be kept as a receipt to present upon collection of your child.
Check in begins from 10am and we ask parents to pick their children up at the end of the service. Youth do not need to pre-register.
We are always looking for new members to join our team. All team members seeking to be involved in Vineyard Kids and Youth will be required to carry out a full DBS check and supply references. To start this process please download our Safeguarding Pack.
In addition to Vineyard Kids and Youth, we also run and engage with other activities, including Baby Dedications, Kids and Youth based Connect Groups and the annual Vineyard Youth Festival, Dreaming the Impossible. Keep an eye on the calendar for information regarding what is coming up.
We want Vineyard Kids and Youth to be the safest place possible for your child. All of our team members undergo a DBS check when they volunteer and we have robust plans in place in the unlikely event of a fire or other threat to the safety of anyone in the building.
Our venue managers are responsible for all emergency evacuations on site, and will lead our team of volunteers in escorting your child to the designated meeting point.
Simultaneously, you will be guided through a safe route to the meeting point where you will collect your child. In the event of an emergency, we ask you not to go to the children’s area on your own, as you may risk harm to yourself and others in the process.
